Launch A/B test of emails in Abandoned cart automation: test the content
The manager shared an idea with me on how to boost our email conversion rates within the abandoned cart automation.
The concept involves shortening the lifespan of the cart and emphasizing potential increases in item values.
I decided to give this idea a shot and initiated an A/B test:
After a span of 2 weeks, I will revisit the outcomes to assess which approach yielded the best results.
The concept involves shortening the lifespan of the cart and emphasizing potential increases in item values.
I decided to give this idea a shot and initiated an A/B test:
- Paused the abandoned cart emails and duplicated them, then I crafter variations within the email content section.
- In the first email, I implemented a cart "expiration" of 3 days. I also included a notice that item prices within the cart might rise, but the current value would be reserved for the next 3 days.
- In the second and third emails (different options), I also integrated this information.
- In second options I also added block "You might also like" with recommendations of products and deleted the banner on top.
- After confirming the email content, I conducted test sends to myself and initiated both versions across all three emails.
After a span of 2 weeks, I will revisit the outcomes to assess which approach yielded the best results.
